The ONE thing I never get tired of hearing....

Hellloooo (it's me), live from Las Vegas, literally sitting next to the stage watching our communities walk through their routines for tonight's Community Showoff at our 3rd annual convention, DivaDance Slaycation

Trips to Vegas look a lot different for me now as a mama, especially bringing my girls with me to this event each year.  Last night I had to exit early to help put the babies to bed due to multiple vomiting-but-no-fever situations. The good news is the bottle service I get now doesn't leave me with a hangover (get it?).

The last 2 days have been actual dreams. My face hurts from smiling and my knees hurt from dropping-it-low, but I'm certain I'm right where I'm supposed to be. It's incredible to hear from clients, staff, and owners about the impact DivaDance has had on them, and the one thing I'll NEVER get tired of hearing:

DivaDance changed my life.

I mean what?  A member who is an Army veteran said DivaDance helped her PTSD. A woman who was in an abusive relationship now is able to love herself again.  Stories about folks facing mental health challenges and DivaDance helping them feel like themselves again.  And even small life changes energize me - how DivaDance changes their mood when they go home and can be a better partner or mom, how DivaDance has helped them make a friend to go to brunch with when they are new to the area.

Sometimes people are nervous to come talk to me to tell me how DivaDance has changed their life but I hope I can always stay approachable to hear it.... because the truth is - DivaDance SAVED my life.

Next week I'll tell you the story of the moment of inflection when I could have stayed the course in a career that wasn't bringing out the best in me, but I chose to take the other fork in the road.

This is a story I've only shared with those very closest to me (you're now that somebody!)
