Thunder from Down Under

Hello from Vegas at tech rehearsal for our annual Community Showoff - one of my favorite nights of the year. You can actually watch it LIVE TONIGHT at 8:20 PM PST on all of the DivaDance socials. Prepare to watch our beautiful community live their best lives - both on stage and in the audience!

Yesterday we gathered all of our franchise owners for our annual "state of the brand" where I share innovations and enhancements to our support that will help them operate more efficiently, generate more revenue, and change more lives. Though we presented some incredibly exciting updates, this year I carried a bit different energy into this event, as I started with these remarks.

I want to start by just expressing my full-hearted gratitude to each of you for being here and taking time away from everything else that is important to you. I’m beyond grateful to be each of your partners in business and friend in life - I have such a sisterly love toward each of you.

I never had a sister, but I did have 3 fathers - my actual father, and two much older brothers.  Many of you know that I lost my oldest one this week.

In the midst of contemplating staying home to begin the grieving process. I opened my phone and realized I had saved a voicemail from him from a few birthdays ago...

He said he loved me and hoped I had a great day. Tears started to well up at the sound of his voice….

Then, deadpan, he wanted to know if the MALE STRIPPER he sent had arrived and IF NOT, to let him know so he could follow up.

At that moment, I knew I had to be in Vegas this week.

And after getting off the plane seeing the Thunder from Down Under ad, it was confirmed. My big brother sent his baby sis off to this important event with a wink and a chuckle.

I'm grateful to my amazing HQ team and the entire DivaDance community for the love and unwavering "we gotchu's" this week (and always). Being their leader is a true privilege.

Do me a favor, if you have a sibling that you can text - do it RIGHT NOW. You'll be so glad you did.
