What I wanted to be when I grew up....
Let's do something fun.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Think back to that little person. What were you into? What things did you gravitate towards? What did you dream of doing with your long life ahead of you?
When I was growing up, I wanted to be a teacher, an actor, and an "International Businesswoman" (I didn't really know what that meant lol). Because I was obsessed with New York City as shown in movies like Working Girl and Baby Boom; I wanted to live there. I loved doing funny skits and "talk shows" for my school projects (if only we had the content creation tools THEN that we have now omg!), I loved writing stories, I loved being in front of people, and I loved starting things from scratch. I loved music and to dance, but because I was not a skinny girl, it never seemed accessible that I could be a "dancer." Oh - and I loved being in charge. I also loved leading people, influencing, having fun, and more than anything - I loved being part of a community.
I think I was destined to be the Founder of DivaDance from a very young age.
Now listen, you have every right to change your mind, take a different path, try something new, and evolve - but let this be your chance to check in with your younger YOU.... what did you love when you were little? How can you infuse a little more of that in what you're doing now? And if you're feeling any type of "Awh man I wish I HAD become a firefighter!" It's NEVER too late to be what you might have been! (I feel like I saw that on a magnet somewhere, but it's true!)
