Why I got my first plastic surgery....

I did it - I have officially "had work done." I wanted to share it with my newly-formed-personal-mailing-list. We're BFFs now... it's what BFFs do.

2 weeks ago I got an eye lift and truthfully I'm still waiting for swelling to go down to know if I'm happy with the results.  I am defffff a little stressed (not gonna lie) that I may not be totally de-swole (is that a word?) by DivaDance Slaycation convention in 2 weeks.

But here's the reason I did it.....improving my range of sight (in case my insurance company is reading this), but really - Confidence.

Obviously if your vision is affected, your confidence can't help but take a hit. But the real confidence for me is the way I feel when I communicate with others and how I present to the world and I got to a point where people would think I was tired even when I wasn't. I wanted to say - no sorry, it's just gravity.

What's this have to do with being a Founder? This is Founder Friday after all. So here it is.

If you know anything about DivaDance, it's that Confidence and Community are our 2 core values, and that's not just a marketing message - it's a way of life. As the leader of the company, it's my responsibility to take extreme ownership of myself - in every way.  My thoughts, words, actions, my appearance - my confidence. While I don't care as much what other people think of me and how I look, I really care what I think about myself.

When I love myself, it's so much easier to love and lead others.

So, my thought starter for you - what do you need to do to love yourself even more - so you can be a better friend, worker, mother, partner, or leader?
