10 Questions To Ask Yourself at Year End
I love end-of-year reflection.
Here's a photo of me circa 1996 when my primary goals were to get into The University of Texas (I did) and make the Pom Squad (I did not). I summed up my longterm goal at that time as becoming an "International Businesswoman" (I am) and driving a brand new Jeep Wrangler (I still want this...).
Back then my besties and I would schedule a day goal-setting and reflecting time - usually at our local Waco Barnes & Noble (for some reason I always feel so smart and invigorated at a bookstore).
Now I'm thinking about building an internationally franchised brand, raising 2 good humans, creating a life of fun and comfort, and how to live to 100+.
Here are a few of my favorite conversation starters to take a look at your year. I'd LOVE to hear from you on any of these!
What’s one thing I did this year that completely recharged me, and how can I make more space for it next year?
If I could go back and relive one day from this year, which would it be and why?
How did I influence or inspire someone else this year, and what impact did that have?
What’s the best new habit I started this year, and how did it change my life (even in small ways)?
What was my single biggest time waster in life this past year?
What is something I set out to do this year but didn't quite accomplish (and what obstacle kept me from it?)
What edits do I need to make to optimize for next year?
Who or what brought out the best in me this year?
What are some ways I can have more fun, play, or silliness next year?
Who do I need to thank for any contribution they made to my life this year?
Next Friday, I'll share some Predictions for DivaDance HQ in 2025, it will be my best Founder Friday all year so look for it!
