Spidey and His Amazing Friends
I'm writing you from the very end of the very longest travel day, on a quick weekend trip with my family. It always seems like a great idea at the time when you book something like this, and then after the first toddler meltdown, all the crayons being dropped on the floor of the plane, and the WiFi not working for the iPads (yes we're those parents) - you're like "what have I done?" and "We're never leaving home again."
I was scrolling through photos of our day with our daughters, while telling my husband, "I don't know if I have a Founder Friday in me today." In that moment, I stopped on this photo.
My younger daughter (left) is blurry because she was jumping up and down on the couch. My older daughter (right) has been talking about getting her face painted at the San Diego Zoo for weeks. She's also holding a bag of to-go ice creams from our messy-but-we-tip-well dinner out. And yes, they are wearing matching "Spidey and his Amazing Friends" shirts (my girls both sing this theme song nonstop and I can't get it out of my head - tbh it's a bop). I'm so crazy about these girls, and I can't describe how it feels to see myself in the mirror just beaming as their mom. (BTW I didn't even notice us in the mirror when I took it!)
This photo above was all I needed to see to get this Email out.
I have a responsibility to my family and to the DivaDance community to be a consistent leader. To follow through on my promises.
To always FIND IT IN ME even when I don't think I have it in me.
